Dominica is famous for its natural wonders and some of them can only be seen by walking to them; as they do not have road access, thankfully !!! To get the best out of your trip to The Nature Isle, Dominica, you need to hike our amazingly varied terrain.
This special package includes a guide for all hikes, who not only shows you the way & explains the flora and fauna, but also gives you an insight into real life here in Dominica. On some of the hikes you will visit with the family and friend’s of the guide along the way.
This 8 day 7 night package will follow this itinerary :
Day 1 : Arrival and transfer to 3 Rivers & Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge.
| Day 2 – RIVER RAMBLE WATERFALLS TOUR
short river rambles within our valley, to 3 different, and beautiful waterfalls. Flocky’s Falls, Coco Cascades, and the 3 Rivers Falls. including lunch at 3 Rivers |
Each hike is 45 minutes to an hour each way. Partly on a trail, and partly walking in the river, getting up to thigh deep sometimes, a nice river ramble. water shoes would be useful. |
| Day 3 – CHEMAIN DE LETANG – freshwater lake
Full long day cross island Hike: Passing through the picturesque village of Grand Fond, then crossing the mountains and into Morne Trois Pitons National Park World Heritage Site to the Freshwater Lake, and then on up to magically mystique Boeri Lake. Probably your toughest of your hikes. including packed lunch |
45 minutes up a very steep trail in parts to our village, grand fond.Then 20 minutes up the road through the village, followed by a 2.5 hour forest cross island mountain trail, taking incredible views. If you are up to it, a 45 minute around the lake, then back again same route to 3 rivers |

DAY 3 – OPTIONAL EXTRA – HIKE ONE WAY, FOLLOWED BY HOT SPRINGS & POOLS, AND TAXI BACK TO 3 RIVERS. EXTRA OPTION FEE USD 60 per person |

| Day 4 – WATERFALLS AND VILLAGE DAY –
Spend the day in the tranquil village of Riviere Cyrique visiting FOND MORGAN FALLS, and 3 BASINS FALLS –3 Falls and 3 cool pools. On your way back to 3 Rivers you can stop at a viewpoint above RAVINE CYRIQUE Falls; a waterfall tumbling into the ocean. local restaurant lunch |
90 minutes walking down country road, partly coastal, 15 minutes off road up river to fond Morgan Falls, then an hour stroll through the village, 20 minutes river ramble to 3 basins, then head back again. Possibly stopping on the way for a tour of the rum distillery. |

| Day 6 – DISCOVER THE WAITUKUBULI NATIONAL TRAIL- Segment 5
You’ll be dropped by car to begin the hike at Pond Casse in the middle of the island, then on the trail to the Emerald Pool inside the morne trois pitons national park world heritage site, traversing endless streams and small cascades. From there you will hike back to 3 rivers, The last part of the trail is currently closed Including Local restaurant lunch |
20 minutes drive to drop off point, 3 hours walk to emerald pool, forest and rivers. Then an hour walking down a country lane back to 3 rivers |
| Day 7 – THE ROSALIE WALKING EXPERIENCE
Begin the day with a short walk down to the historic Rosalie Bay visiting the old slave-built ruins from yester years. Hike around Rosalie Point, stopping to see a cool secluded rock pool, then arriving at the sleepy & traditional village of Petite Soufriere, Dominica’s largest Bay oil producing village. And finally returning to the lodge via the trail. including packed lunch |
45 minutes down a country lane to the beach at Rosalie. 15 minutes historical sites and talk with guide. 1.5 to 2 hours coastal hilly trail, an hour or so in the village and back again. |

The activities may be spread over a longer period of time to give you more free time in between activities. We are also happy to tailor make any package specifically to your requirements.

The package includes lunch on tour days, transport to & from airport / ferry terminal, all transport to sites where needed, guide for all hikes, tax and service .
You should book your main accommodation at the eco lodge separately and then add this package per person.
