Alternatively, there are always plenty of taxis. Roseau ferry terminal (45 minutes drive) Expect to pay around EC$190 / US$75, and Douglas-Charles/Melville Hall airport (DOM) (1 hour and 15 minutes drive) EC$220 / US$85.
If you arrive before 4 pm, there are buses and hitchhiking works well enough. After that taxi is probably the best way if you do not have a vehicle

If you decide to rent a vehicle, or hire a taxi, you need a vehicle with high clearance for our access road, a low car may touch the road, and some taxis will leave you 5 minutes extra walk away on the main road; check before you ride.
IF YOU TAKE A TAXI, AND IF THEY LEAVE YOU AT THE MAIN ROAD, WE MAY NOT HAVE A VEHICLE TO COLLECT YOU !!!!!
From Douglas Charles (formerly known as Melville Hall) airport, (DOM) follow the airport exit signs past the car park to the main exit barrier.
Turn right over the bridge as you leave the airport barrier and follow the road through and past the town of Marigot and stay on the main road until the main road crosses a bridge, bends right only, and moves away from the coast.
As you leave the coasT, you will drive straight past, almost immediately on your left, a road that goes towards the Kalinago territory, GO STRAIGHT PAST THE TURNING and up the mountain road, DO NOT turn left.
Stay on this long windy road for about 20 minutes to half an hour, until you reach a roundabout, called pond casse, with a bus shelter and a heritage sign in the middle.
Turn left towards Rosalie, Emerald pool and Castle Bruce.

From Roseau head north out of the city over the independence street bridge and follow the main road north, direction Canefield, Mahault, Salisbury and portsmouth.
Follow the road heading out of town, passing the cargo port on your left, and driving under a big cliff alongside the Ocean as far as Canefield, go past the Nissan showroom on the right, and past R&C tyre repairs on the left. You will see the National Bank of Dominica on your right. Then turn right immediately after National Bank of Dominica, onto a very short road. then left at the end of the very short road and go over the mountains for about 20 minutes until you reach the only roundabout, named Pont Cassé. Turn right.

From Canefield airport, turn right onto the main highway, then left at the mini roundabout. At the top, turn left and follow the road up the mountain until you reach the only roundabout, named Pont Cassé. Turn right.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
There are NO BUSES ON SUNDAYS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. AND NONE AFTER 1PM ON SATURDAYS
If you want to use public bus, from Roseau, (Last bus leaves at 5pm) The buses for our lodge leave from Kennedy Avenue, either side of the junction with Independence street, near to Jays Bookstore and Burton electrical shop, and take the bus which goes to Grand Fond, Riviere Cyrique, La Plaine or Delices.
Tell the driver you are coming to 3 rivers eco lodge and they will drop you at the main road from where you will walk in down the road and across a small ravine.

From the Melville Hall airport, take any bus towards Roseau and change at the Pond Casse roundabout junction. You want to turn left, towards the Emerald pool, Castle Bruce and Rosalie,
Wait at the bus stop for a bus that is coming in our direction, Tell the driver you are coming to 3 rivers eco lodge in Rosalie and they will drop you at the main road by our signpost and access road.

FINAL APPROACH DIRECTIONS
From Pond Cassé roundabout follow the road straight down, direction Emerald pool, Castle Bruce and Rosalie, for about 20 minutes, passing 2 bars on the left hand side, and driving straight past the turning on the left signposted to The Emerald pool and Kalinago Carib territory.
Do not turn left, go straight.
Carry on straight down the windy road for about 10 minutes, eventually you will go down a very steep bendy hill, and at the bottom of the hill on the bend you will see a sign on the right saying ‘3 Rivers Eco Lodge ’. If you reach the Ocean you’ve gone a few minutes too far; turn round and come back up the hill!!!
Turn right down the dirt road.
Then, follow the dirt road for 5 minutes, GO SLOW ITS BUMPY. you will drive through a small ravine and then you will arrive at our neighbour’s big concrete farmhouse.
This is where you park your vehicle and begin your three rivers adventure.
A basic level of fitness is required.
BACKPACKS not suitcases are the best way to manage your luggage across the rivers. PLEASE BRING BACKPACKS NOT SUITCASES IF POSSIBLE.
ACCESS To the lodge is the first part of your adventure.
A basic level of fitness is required. It is necessary to zip line across or walk through two rivers, with a rope to guide you across and a pulley for your bags, making it fun, adventurous, and not too difficult.
As well as a short 5 to 10 minute walk through the neighbouring farm between the two river crossings.
