DAY 1 –ARRIVE & TRANSFER TO THE ECO LODGE
Day 2 -THE HOME HIKING WATERFALLS GALORE TOUR
Spectacular falls right inside the estate where the Eco Lodge is based.
3 RIVERS FALLS
This incredible 80 foot waterfall is a one hour walk from 3 Rivers. The trail involves a well made track and a some river rambling. You can bathe under this 80-foot high cold shower
COCO CASCADES
Also in our paradise valley, a 45 minutes each way river rambling hike away from 3 Rivers, this stunning little cascades will take your breath away. Easy access, stunning rainforest surroundings.
FLOCKY’S TWIN FALLS
Starting right here at 3 Rivers, the hike to Flocky’s falls is short and beautiful river ramble through the lush rainforest. You follow a good quality trail for 15 minutes, followed by 40 minutes walking up the river. A cool deep pool on the ridge between the two falls.
THE TITOU GAUGE – swim through the Titou Gorge, and you reach a beautiful fresh waterfall. As you leave the gauge, try out the warm sulphur water.
TRAFALGAR FALLS – visit two stunning waterfalls at Trafalgar, and then climb the rocks, if you are able, to the ice cold pool beneath the falls.
TI KWEN GLO CHO HOT TUBS & MUDBATHS : an organic haven blessed with incredible amounts of amazing water. As well as hot springs and a waterfall the owner has used local bamboo to pipe the hot sulphur water directly into some cool pools and little hot bath tubs. They also has a small sulphur mud bath in one corner of the land. Here you will have a traditional truly delicious lunch.
Day 4 -FREE DAY Relax, take a drink in the bar
INDIAN RIVER :A lethargic boat ride up the Indian River. Glide through the mangroves and wetlands in the paddle boat, with a very knowledgeable guide. At the end of the ride is the bush bar hidden deep away in the jungle, where you can sample an extremely strong homemade rum punch. Beware !!
LUNCH and at the purple turtle restaurant , with a short swim on a beautiful beach.
CABRITZ NATIONAL PARK & FORT SHIRLEY : Meander the forest footpaths through the ancient ruins, finishing the walk at the the renovated and restoredFort Shirley. Discover the fascinating and sometimes bloody history of the island.
THE EMERALD POOL – A simple walk through the forest to a small, pleasant waterfall and pool. A relaxing stroll to begin the day, in stunning surroundings.
CASTLE BRUCE BEACH : Then it is time to splash in the lively ocean at Castle Bruce beach.
l’escalier de tete chien, a 20 minute hike to see a formation of rock in the shape of a snake, jutting out into the Ocean, believed to protect The Kalinago people from invaders.
THE KALINAGO BARANA AOUTE MODEL VILLAGE : Visit the traditional Kalinago cultural village by the sea and see local people making their arts and crafts, and learn the history and culture of the Kalinago (Dominica’s indigenous population) people. Here we will taste the Kalinago culinary delights for lunch.
DAY 8 DEPARTURE
The activities can be tailored to suit your needs, and can be spread over more days to give you extra free time
You should book your choice of accommodation separately, in addition to the package price.
The total price is us$ 1200 PER PERSON (based on minimum 2 people) and includes your private guide and/or transport for all tours and activities listed, lunch during package day tours, airport / ferry transfers, all transport to sites, entrance fees, all necessary equipment, tax and service.
