Set about fifteen feet above the ground, high in the trees in the forest at the back of 3 Rivers, our most unique accommodation : The Bamboo Treehouse, probably the most unusual hotel accommodation in the Caribbean.
To reach the treehouse is about a 15 minute uphill hike deep into the jungle.
You will be totally secluded and the only life around you is the wildlife.
The floor is made of Boit Diabla and the rest is a bamboo structure.
The treehouse has an electric light, powered by a wind turbine which is mounted 100 feet up in the trees over the rainforest canopy above the lodge. It also has its own state of the art composting toilet with washroom in the house, and there is a private shower downstairs under the house.
Due to the remoteness of the treehouse, a member of staff from the lodge will visit you regularly upon request.
They are there to assist you throughout your stay in Dominia.
If you want them to fetch and carry, or show you the traditional methods of cooking and general jungle living, all you need to do is ask.
The treehouse is furnished with a double bed, and a hammock can be added for an extra person.
There is a communal kitchen nearby, using collected rainwater, and fresh drinking water is filtered in the traditional jungle kitchen, as well as in your room.
