Set about fifteen feet above the ground, high in the trees in the forest, 15 minutes hike at the back of 3 Rivers,an amazing accommodation : Chataiere Lodge Treehouse. Here you are really in the heart of the forest.
This tree househouse is extremely large and , and is furnished with a double bed and a hammock. The floor is made of Boit Diabla and the rest is a bamboo structure.
The treehouse has an electric light, powered by a wind turbine which is mounted 100 feet up in the trees over the rainforest canopy. It also has its own state of the art composting toilet with washroom in the house, and there is a private shower downstairs under the house.
Deep in the forest, bugs are unavoidable, so a mosquito net is provided. But rest assured, although you will get the incredible opportunity to see plenty of insects and bugs of all shapes sizes and colours, there is absolutley nothing that can really do you harm
The House is so called because it is built around the roots of a Chataniere tree (butress tree) and the full beauty of this ancient tree can be seen from right inside the house.
The dining area is a short walk away.
